About

The Knowledge Tree VR project aims to develop the library of the future, one that you can visit through virtual reality. The goal is to bring access to open literature in liberal arts and sciences at your fingertip and make it accessible as a tree of knowledge.

The tree of knowledge will be an interactive tool for discovery. Visualise the development of a field, e.g. philosophy, chronologically as a tree with roots and stem and with its branches. Search how different ideas are connected, who has thought about it and what they said.

This project is dedicated to one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals: quality education. It aims at providing an innovative platform for learners to engage in interactive and enthusiastic research activities.

Is it for me?

If you here, the probable answer is YES! Do you wish that your search engine was more intuitive? Would you like to google your physical library? Then Knowledge Tree VR is for you.

Students searching for content related to their last class, or that project or essay. Concerned citizens that want to be informed and learn about topics that are being debated in their social circle.

Researchers that want to organise the knowledge about their research field or project, and want to keep track of new literature.

Innovators that want to find trends about a certain topic or field, and want to identify opportunities for innovative products.

What do I get?

Search and Visualise

Instead of only seeing a list of links when you search for something, you will also see the connection between them. You will see together those items that are similar to each other, and will see what make them similar. This is knowledge tree!

Create

Found something interesting? Then save it! Create you own knowledge trees. You will be able to organise your trees and explain how your items are connected. This will help you building a mindmap of your search while you keep browsing for new interesting things.

Share and Collaborate

Would you like to share your findings? Explain your thoughts? Then share your knowledge trees. Share with your colleagues, students, and peers. If you are working in a team, then just build the tree together.
